Belly Lock Privacy Policy
Belly Lock (“the app”) is made by Newron Robotics, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Newron Robotics”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. In short: your data stays on your phone, we don’t run ads or tracking, and we never sell your data.
1. Information the app uses
Information you enter. Your first name (optional), height, weight, waist measurements, daily check-ins, workout sessions and app settings. This is stored on your device.
Apple Health data. With your permission, the app reads your daily step count and active energy (calories burned) from Apple Health. It does not write to Apple Health. This data is used only to show your progress and to decide when to unlock your apps. It is processed and stored on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Screen Time selections. With your permission, the app uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to lock the apps, categories and websites you choose. Apple gives the app only anonymous tokens for your choices. We cannot see which apps or websites you picked, or how you use them. These tokens stay on your device.
Photos (optional). If you add progress or meal photos, they are stored on your device and are not uploaded.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. The app receives your subscription status (for example, active, trial or expired) so it can unlock Plus features.
Support emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use it only to help you.
2. What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use Apple Health or Screen Time data for advertising, marketing or data mining, and we do not share it with third parties.
- We do not show ads, and the app contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. How information is used
- To run the app’s features: the evening lock, unlocking when your goal is met, workouts, streaks and progress charts.
- To send local reminders you turn on (scheduled on your device).
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
4. Where data is stored, and for how long
App data is stored locally on your iPhone and stays there until you delete it. Belly Lock does not require an account and does not currently store your app data on our servers. Your device’s own backups (for example, iCloud Backup) may include app data, as controlled by your Apple settings.
5. Your choices and controls
- Permissions: you can turn Apple Health access off in the Health app (profile → Apps → Belly Lock), and Screen Time access off in Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access.
- Notifications: turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings.
- Export: Profile → Export my data.
- Delete: Profile → Delete account & data erases everything in the app. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device.
6. Children
Belly Lock is intended for people aged 13 and older, and is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because app data is kept on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything we hold (such as support emails), contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Security
Data on your device is protected by your iPhone’s built-in security (passcode, Face ID and encryption). No method of storage is 100% secure, but we design the app to keep sensitive data on your device and off our servers.
9. Health disclaimer
Belly Lock is a habit and fitness companion, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app before the change applies.
