Privacy Policy
The short version
Yoga Clock keeps your alarm, your breathing and your settings on your phone. There is no account and no sign-in. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no crash-reporting service, and we do not sell or share anything about you.
The only time anything about you reaches us is when you choose to send us a message from the app’s Help screen or our website. Subscriptions are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Who we are
Yoga Clock is published by Newron Robotics, LLC (“we”, “us”), a limited liability company formed in the State of Delaware, United States. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation we are the data controller for the limited processing described below. What stays on your device
These are stored only on your iPhone, and are deleted when you delete the app:
- Your alarm times, days and chosen alarm sound
- Your choices in setup and Settings, such as whether you include Hindu content and which mantra you chose
- Which breathing exercises you prefer and the days you completed them
- Your progress through the daily verses and devotionals
The words, verses, chants and recordings in the app are fixed content that ships inside the app. Nothing is generated for you and no artificial intelligence is used.
The evening app lock (Screen Time)
If you turn on the evening lock, Yoga Clock uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. You choose the apps in a screen provided by Apple, and Apple gives Yoga Clock only anonymous tokens for them — the app cannot see which apps you picked by name, and it cannot see how you use them. Those tokens stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Permissions
- Alarms — so your alarm can ring, even on silent.
- Notifications — for gentle reminders, such as when your evening breath is due.
- Screen Time — only if you turn on the evening app lock, as described above.
Yoga Clock does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data, and it does not use any advertising identifier. It does not track you across other apps or websites.
Subscriptions
Yoga Clock is a subscription. Apple is the merchant of record and processes your payment on its own systems; we never see your card number or billing details. The app checks your subscription with Apple directly on your device. We do not use a third-party subscription service. Apple’s handling of payments is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Messages you send us
If you send us a message from the app’s Help screen or our website, we receive what you type (your name, email address, topic and message) along with a few details that help us fix problems: the app version, iOS version, device model and whether you have an active subscription. Messages are delivered to us by Formspree, Inc. (United States), which acts on our behalf. We use them only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we keep them only as long as needed to do that. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we process support messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)), and to perform our contract with you where your message is about your subscription (Article 6(1)(b)).
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. There are no advertisers, data brokers or analytics vendors. The only recipients are Apple (for payments) and Formspree (for messages you choose to send), and a court or regulator if we are ever legally required to.
International transfers
Formspree processes messages in the United States. Where a message comes from the EEA or UK, the transfer is made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, the UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. In practice the only personal data we may hold is a message you sent us; write to support@newronrobotics.com and we will respond within the period the law requires. Everything else lives on your phone and is removed when you delete the app.
Children
Yoga Clock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us a message, contact us and we will delete it.
Health
The breathing exercises are for relaxation and are not medical advice. Yoga Clock does not collect or store any health information.
Security
Messages travel over encrypted connections (TLS). The best protection is not holding data at all, which is why almost everything in Yoga Clock stays on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will post the new version at https://newronrobotics.com/yogaclock/privacy and update the date at the top.
